Oh, Summer!
Summer is where I feel most alive. It is a time when I’m inspired to seek new adventures, to explore, to make new memories of fun at the beach, to discover the simple joys of nature and everything around me, to bond with my son, to bring a renewed spark to love, life and anything that brings happiness and peace.
I love Summer because…
I get to find myself during peaceful times of solitude. I get to walk on the sand as the day unfold, the world quiet and still. For a brief moment, I get to hear the whispers of the wind, the call of the sea and the beating of my heart.
I am able to discover people and places that brings about fun and excitement.

During my walks at the mesmerizing Boracay Island, I saw this boy gliding swiftly on sand and water. I asked him If I can take his photo while riding his board. He smiled, ran at one end and gave a thrilling performance. I asked myself, “Why can’t life be like this for most of the time?” Then I heard a whisper,”It can if you want it to be.” It may be my wild imagination but the words can’t be more true.
I get to smile and laugh in all abandonment. To feel happy without worries of tomorrow. I get to enjoy life and all that it has to offer no matter how transient it may be. I get to breathe and enjoy the vividness of the world around me.
Summer and its colors has just began. This week’s photo challenge just gave everyone a glimpse of what’s to come. One thing for sure, it will be amazing for everyone.
Thank you for being a part of my Summer adventures. The Sun just woke up and more stories are about to unfold.
How did you start your Summer. Why do you love Summer? Whatever reasons we have, we should always enjoy the gifts of this beautiful season.

Wonderful photos. I especially like the last one.
Thank you. The last one I saw it while heading towards the parasailing. It was early in the morning and the Island people just started their day. The lamps seems to remind me that a colorful day awaits.
I love the last photo, the paper lanterns. There’s something surreal about the colours, it’s beautiful…. and the lanterns, strange planets orbiting on a beach. Very inspiring.
They do look like planets orbiting the beach. Wow! That is come cool imagination. Thanks.
Great post and beautiful photos! Summer is happiness.
Summer is Happiness and happiness is Summer. Thanks.
As always beautiful shots, I so need to get back there!
I hope one day you will. I wish we have more time to travel and experience the beauty and wonder of each and every place of inspiration. Thank you.
I can tell you why I love spring
I got married one week ago & in two weeks we get our puppy Spike. So summer can’t be much better than spring already was
Wonderful post that made me wanna travel. Hugs & take care, enjoy your days
Congratulations my friend. Love has found you both and finally destiny sealed with a bond that will give you both many years of happiness. Wishing you many memorable Spring, even Summer and all the seasons there is. I’m so happy for you.
Thank you so much for your kind words
I like them all… very nice shots!
Thank you. There is something magical about a beach. It seems to inspire people to dream, create and embrace a fun life.
A very persuasive argument, and great photographs:)
Thank you. Summer is all about these and many more. The possibilities are almost endless like the sand that we walk on.
The last photo is my favorite. I hope your summer will be wonderful
Thank you. The last photo is a favorite of mine too. It somehow captured what Summer is all about. I wish you a beautiful Summer my friend.
Wonderful post! I can almost feel the warm sand on my feet!
Thank you. Creating a post and looking at the photos helps me go back to those times when I had a great time. And one of these times is walking by the beach gazing at the water and the sky with my feet stepping on the fine soft sand with the gentle waves caressing my feet. Almost like a wonderful, peaceful dream.
Those surfboarding photos are wonderful. Your son I presume? He looks such a joy.
Thank you. It was not my son, I think he may be too young for it. The boy was a native of the island about 8 or 10 years old. He did it like a pro. One day I hope to see my son doing the same. Looks like a fun and liberating activity.
Little surfer boy – my favorites
But the last one is so relaxing and yet festive. Is that possible?
Excellent.
Thank you. A perfect day for me is where fun, festivity and relaxation all fused together. A day I wished could last forever. If not, at least in my memory.
Great summer images!!
Thank you. It was a wonderful Island Summer.
What I love about summer is that it is warm and there is no need to wear layers and layers of clothing!
That too. And we can just wear shorts, a light shirt and slippers. It’s that time when we can all just be laid back, chill and embrace anything that spells fun and relaxation. Thanks Colline.
dear one, I knew you’d have gorgeous summer shots. love them!
I did. In the end, when one day my memory is not as sharp, I have these photos to remind me how beautiful life was and that I was blessed to see these places around people who are dear to me. Thank you .
I hope your memory stays sharp…

Thank you Francine. Summers by the beach, always a day to have fun or simply drift in a place of bliss.
ok now i have a whole lot of reasons to love summers!
Thank you. I think it is wonderful to embrace each season with joy and optimism. To explore, to discover, to create brand new exciting memories. Summer has just began and we have so much time to make sure we will have one awesome Summer this year.
Fun, fun, fun! Love the photos. My absolute favorite season!

I love that you are sharing your love of summer with us in such a beautiful way – thank you!
Thank you. Summer is one season I have so much wonderful memories with my family .
I love all the photos and what you write about summer. Makes me long for summer temperatures here in Australia. We are already ‘deep’ in winter here.
Oh, wow. I didn’t realize that it’s Winter in some countries. I apologize. May the images of Summer warm the cold nights of Winter. Thanks my friend.
I love summer, period and I love your posts, period.
Awesome is the only way to describe both of them…
Thank you Sunshine. I love your comments everytime…period! Seriously though, it’s a joy to hear from you everytime. As for Summer …Sunshine is Summer, Summer is Sunshine!
Summer is my favourite time too! I love your photos
Thanks Gilly. I wish every day is Summer or what symbolizes Summer. Life’s too short not to enjoy the joys of sunshine.
wonderful post. I once worked in Boracay and it is really beautiful out there as if its summer everyday out there. I had a great summer there.
Thanks. I worked there for a year and it was one of the most unforgettable expeirences of my life. Every time I get to go back to the Philippines, I also make sure a spend a few days just to be one with island as well as find a personal healing.
wow it’s nice to hear you stayed there for a year also. It looks like you really had a great time out there sir. I’m also looking forward going back there next summer. THe island is so mesmerizing it left me an irresistible aftertaste to crave for more.
There are times when with clothes and all I would jump from the boat and swim before heading for work. They thought I was crazy coming to work dripping and all. I will do it all over again if given the chance. Hope you get to visit it next Summer.
I see, that your son is good surfer
The boy wasn’t my son although I hope that he will learn to surf one day. I think it is one amazing activity. Thanks Sabina. I wish you a great Summer.
Wonderful pictures, especially the last one!
Thank you Madhu. There’s some wonderful about lanterns, more when it’s facing a body of water.
IT, you are Summer, 365 sunshine days of the year! Those beach shots look so good, so full of fun and relaxation. Happy summer to you and your family!
Yes, it is a place of almost 365 days of sunshine and their beautiful stories. I wish we all embrace our daily life with as much sunshine and inspiration. Thanks you Patti.
Summer is my favorite season because I take time off work to step out of the weekly routines. The days are longer, the sun shines more, and your photos capture that blissful feeling of relaxed enjoyment.
Thank you. I love Summer. And as you said, “The days are longer, the sun shines more…” All the seasons brings a certain magic but somehow Summer gives me more time with my family to explore and discover new adventures. Perhaps it’s because there’s no class and I can bring my son to more places.
Yes! A lovely post! Spot on.
Thank you. Summer makes it easier to be inspired.

Yes, summer rocks… when youi’re not a bellman!
Ha, ha, ha. Funny but true. I hope you get to have a longer off so so can head to the beach. And this time, you get to be pampered. I think we all owe it to ourselves to relax and have fun every now and then. If I’m just going to work , work, work. I’m going to burn out quick or explode or something close. Thanks…
Lovely!
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.

Excellent Summer post my friend
Thank you. Summer and all it has to offer makes it easy to capture the fun it brings.
Boracay Island! I miss the place so much especially after looking at these wonderful photographs! Great post!
Thanks Bro. Boracay is no other. Once you stepped on it’s sand, it is hard to forget. It will call you again and again.
I started mine when we went to Manila to spend the entire April in there. I’m so happy because we’re finally together again!
I’m happy for you. There are things in this world that no money can by like spending Summers with our love ones. Summer is already a fun time but when we share them with our friends and family, it becomes totally amazing. Have a great vacation. Thanks.
yes yes! Thanks! I had the most awesome summer this 2012! :>
I’m glad to hear that. Summer is meant to be enjoyed. It may be hot but so much cool stuff awaits.
The light and colour in these photographs is breathtaking, it makes me want to pack up and leave for Boracay Island today. And I love that whisper. “It can if you want it to be”. So beautiful.
