Once a year, all the bravest young warriors in all the land gather at the Bass Pro Kingdom for the quest of the magical candy bowls. Magical because the candy bowls never ran out of candies and it makes any candy you wish for. The only problem is that every magical candy bowl has its dangerous trails full of spooky tricks and dangers. Of course, there are tons of treats too.
Dragon Ninja from the land of Howdy always dreamed of joining the quest. This year, he got an invitation to take part in the quest and its many thrilling Trick or Treating. Full of courage and heart, Dragon Ninja carried his plastic nunchuks and sword, entered the enchanted forest and battled many mystical creatures such as the giant fish poles and kayak ogres.
Fired up with encouragement, Dragon Ninja ventured up the Forbidden Mountain where most warriors will not dare. Rumor has it that a ferocious bear guards either the entrance or the exit of the mountain trail. Entering the mountain was a piece of cake. Ferocious bear was nowhere on site. Dragon Ninja got all the candies he could carry but on his way down riding a glass elevator, he met the grumpy, growling, ferocious bear. Still so cheerful from the sugar rush, Dragon Ninja gave Mr. Bear a big jolly irresistible smile and said, “Looks like you need some sugar my friend. Here, have a Snickers bar.” After a few bites of the milk chocolate loaded with delicious peanuts, caramel and nougat, Mr. Bear told Dragon Ninja, “Oh my gosh! Oh, my gosh! This is so good. Where can I get one?” Dragon Ninja gave Mr. Bear a map with directions. Thankful for the sweet treat, Mr. Bear not only allowed Dragon Ninja to exit the trail but told him where the next magical candy bowl is. Win-win!
On his last challenging quest, Dragon Ninja found a secret trail that led to a pumpkin patch full of treasures. Among his treasure bounty were a pumpkin pin that inspires one’s heart to always follow its dreams, a magical bracelet that grants happy wishes if one’s intention is truly pure, three funny, singing monster crafts and a new-found friendship with Charlie and company. Yes, the very cast of the annual It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown television Halloween special. When it was time to have their photo taken, Dragon Ninja got shy and covered his face. Charlie helped Dragon Ninja feel comfortable on camera and soon enough, a perfect happy Halloween picture was born.
For finishing his quest and finding all the magical candy bowls, Dragon Ninja got a special treat of chocolate cookies and cinnamon sugar glazed pecans from the Candy Factory. On the way home, Dragon Ninja shared his sweet treats with mom and dad. As he watched his parents listen to his great adventure story, he realized that he already has the best treasure of all, his family.
Thank you for sharing Dragon Ninja’s adventure today. Wishing everyone a safe, meaningful and happy Trick or Treating. Hope you all find your piece of treasure today.
