Behind That Scarlet Color

Behind that scarlet dress is a woman who loved with all her heart and gave up all comforts so she can be with me in a place so unfamiliar and away from everyone she knew all her life. For love, for family, she braved the worst and stood strong in her vows 12 years ago, “For better, for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish until death do as part.”

love

Behind the scarlet shirt is just a man who does get hurt, gets worn out, gets scared of future’s uncertainty and feel more than others will ever know or realize. He tries hard to be everything to everyone yet it seems it’s never enough, was never enough. Sometimes, he just wants to run as fast as he could hoping to escape all the pain, the wrong choices, all the disappointing broken trust and friendship, hoping to find lasting peace and happiness at the end of the finish line.

life

Behind the scarlet balloon is a little boy who brought so much laughter, joy and adventure to his mom and dad. Everyday, their world is full of life filled with living colors because of him. The little boy reminded them of how it is to be young at heart, to play and have fun, to celebrate simple moments and blessings. He even taught them to dream once more and believe with all their heart that it can come true.

love

Life got so busy lately and making a post seems more challenging than usual. I’d been supporting my wife in her journey towards better Health. Together, we embraced a Wellness program that is transforming our health and our lives for the better. It helped us to be more positive, optimistic, hopeful, energetic, calm, more at peace, happier. Oh, and 10 pounds lighter too. We’d been doing things together as a team from food planningย and preparation to elliptical cardio exercises. I will be sharing our story soon but for now, I just want all my blogger friends to know that I always have you all in my thoughts and prayers.

love

Before I go, take one scarlet balloon to celebrate life. Take a second one to celebrate you and a third to celebrate the people most dear to you. Whisper your best wishes. Now, let go and let them fly their highest.

Thank you for spending your time with me. Best of blessings to you and your family.

Beautiful reminder to embrace “the scarlet” in our lives! One more scarlet for Christians… the scarlet blood of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross that enables our hearts to see and believe!

Reading between the lines of your post, I sense all has not been well lately but I know that your usual positiveness will get you through whatever it may be. Prayers are coming your way too.
Glad you and your wife are helping each other on the Wellness program and I’m looking forward to hearing more about it.
I have taken my three red balloons (one for you and your family), and let them fly free with my best wishes.

    • Thank you Barb. Beautiful and kind words. I truly appreciate the prayers of my blogger community. I always believe in its power to bring good, amazing things and results. Lately, my wife and I experience what it is to be abandoned by a group of people we considered friends for many years. Broken friendship, hurting family relationship, never easy, always heart breaking, takes time to heal. But I’m still grateful because I have my wife and son, friends and family that stood by my side, including my WordPress family. And yes, I have God at my side, giving me comfort and strength always. God bless you and your family always.

So impossible to be all things to all people but you’re such a lovely man for trying. When I read the words wife and Health I had a moment of panic, thinking she was ill! Relieved to find that you are sensibly pursuing good eating practices. It will benefit your son too, in the long run, won’t it? You’re always a pleasure to be around, Mr. B. Don’t worry about returning visits. Just good to know you’re out there. ๐Ÿ™‚

What a beautiful and inspiring post this is my friend. You exude glowing health and positive energy with your words overflowing as they do with love and adoration of your beautiful wife and son. Nothing is as it seems behind the scarlet robes is it? I wish you and your wife only the very best as you pursue your good health dreams which will bring so many blessings to you all. It is so hard trying to be everything to everyone…but what matters is you are who you need to be to those who are most important to you right now. Keep flying that scarlet balloon my friend…and don’t let go. I am holding on to one of them even now…thank you for your gift. God bless you and your beautiful family, now and always – Sherri ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you Sherri. Reading my blogger friends generous words of comfort and encouragement always uplifts my hope and spirit. I have found true friends that accepted me through my worst and best, with my weakness and strength, in both success and failure. Lately, me and my wife got dumped by friends we treasured for years but realized in a heart breaking way that their hearts and intentions were not the same. I don’t even recognize them anymore. But God is truly good as when we lost friends, he gave us an even better friends and family. The Wellness health group I joined treated me, my wife and son like what a true family would. They open their home just when so many doors slammed shut. I believe God always have a greater plan for each of us. God bless you and your family.

I came back to read your reply to my comment on this post after reading your recent post as I can see once more how much your new lifestyle has transformed you and your family in such a tremendous way. I am so sorry for your old friends dumping you in such a way, that is extremely hurtful. But as you say, and is plain to see, your life is now on a much different path. I am glad you can let go of the hurt with God’s help. I truly do hope and pray that this path brings you the joy, peace and glowing health of mind, body and spirit that truly is your future. God bless you my dear friend.

      • Thank you Sherri. It was painful at first but also it was more of a blessing as it made us realize that God is leading us to better things. We found new friends and family who appreciated us for who we are and helped us begin a new leaf. I continue to pray for me and my wife to forgive, to be healed, to move on smoothly. There is so much more to life than dwell on bitter past that simply will hold us all back. Time to set ourselves free and pursue the dreams God meant for us to have….thank you for being a generous king friend. God bless you and your family always.

Hello, I hope everything is okay at your end. Lovely pictures you have here and inspiring reflections – a deeper meaning to life. We all know that all our desires are sometimes just that but we also believe that something is just waiting around the bend. God knows our needs, he never disappoints.

    • I agree, God knows our needs, even more than we even know them ourselves. Things are getting better by the day. Healing on going everyday. What matters now is that me and my wife knows we have other people in our lives who will love us for who we are and will always be there when hardship comes. Thanks.

  20. It is so important to take care of yourself so you can be a better person for your family and friends. I think these past few years have brought a lot of struggles to many of us, and it’s made us evaluate our personal situations and figure out what really matters. In the end, being close to the loved we love and enjoying the ride is all that matters. I can’t wait to hear more about the health journey you and your wife have started.

Some we can’t even begin to imagine how we survived but we did. Because of family who stood by, because of God who never let go and continue to bless, because of kind friends who showed their best when we are at our worst, we rose above all forms of difficulties. Thank you and best of blessings to you and your family.
